MELBOURNE. April 5. The five Rugby Union players of the year named today by the Australian Rugby Almanac Include for the first time a Fijian and a Frenchman.
niey are the brilliant young Fijian forward, Joni Nabou, and the French drop-kick wizard of the 1961 Australian and New Zealand tour. Pierre Albaladejo. The Almanac describes Albaladejo as “■ colourful, quickthinking five-eights, a strategist and a superb handler.” Nabou, said the Almanac, "is gifted with great pace ana anticipation. and one of the liveliest international back-row forwards to come to this country for many years.” The other three players selected are Australian representative forwards P. Johnson
and J. White, and'Wallaby test centre, J. Leneban.
