Call Of 10s Proposed

DUNEDIN, April 5.

The liquidator of the Standard Insurance Company, Mr H. S. Tilly, proposes that a call of 10s a share should be made on all the company’s former shareholders.

The liquidator’s main reason for. requiring a call to be made is to meet a liability to the National Insurance Company of New Zealand of £686,706.

A meeting of the committee of inspection of the company will be held on April 18 at Dunedin to sanction the call. Former shareholders may attend the meeting or make representations in writing to it.

The call will yield £500,000.
