Rubbish Collection Talks

WELLINGTON. April 5.
The Wellington City Council staff committee has agreed to meet representatives of the Wellington Drivers’ Union and of its members employed on council rubbish collection. The union asked the committee for a meeting to discuss the position of its drivers in view of the council’s reported intention to employ more rubbish contractors. The committee has agreed to a meeting at 3 p.m. on Monday.
