TOWNSWOMEN AT BECKENHAM
Year’s Activities Reviewed
The Beckenham Townswomen's Guild held its annual meeting recently when Mrs J. M. Steinmetz presided. Mrs C. G. Crawford, of the Dominion executive, was welcomed. After the meeting the guild choir presented a group of items. Prizes won by members during the last year were:— Guild: Mesdames C. Read and R. Allison (equal) 1, R Rolland 2; R. Hamilton and M. Morrison (equal) 3. Gardening circle: Mesdames G James 1, M. Bates 2, C. Ferguson 3. Flower show: Rose bowl, Mrs B. Hayes; premier bloom ribbon, Mrs R. Rolland; arts and crafts, Mesdames J. M. Steinmetz and C. Brown (equal) 1, J. Pickering 2, C. Read 3.
Officers elected were:—Pre. sident, Mrs R. Allison; secretary, Mrs I. Lester; treasurer, Mrs W. Robinson: committee. Mesdames D. Allsop. E. Burt, M. Calderwood. W Grieve, R. Hamilton, S. Hensley, B. Hayes, J. Milne. E Piper, R. Rolland, A. Sollitt J. M. Steinmetz; pianist, Mrs W. Richards; civic circle leader, Mrs j. M. Steinmetz
