Clothes Sent From New Zealand

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 27.

Two tons of clothing collected by about 200 members of the Foundation for the Blind left Auckland for South Africa today as a gift to some of the country's 26.000 blind natives.

A foundation member, Mr C. R. Gowie. who has worked at a centre for coloured blind people near Pretoria, said today that some of these people were living under appalling conditions.

“I know of no organisation that gives food and clothing to them,” he said.
