NATURALIST’S VISIT

Gerald Durrell To See N.Z. Reserves ‘The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, March 21.

Gerald Durrell, whose books on animal collecting have been best-sellers, will visit New Zealand next month to gather material for another book.

He is the author of “My Family and Other Animals,” “The Overloaded Ark,” “The Bafut Beagles,” • and “The Drunken Forest.” His brother, Lawrence Durrell, wrote “The Alexandria Quartet.” With his wife and Mr C. Parsons, of the 8.8 C. natural history film unit, Mr Durrell will visit game sanctuaries and animal reserves in both islands, and will investigate conservation procedures. While Mr Durrell gathers material for his book, Mr Parsons will film the trip for a 8.8. C. television programme.
