Poison Sold By Woman ( N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 20. An appeal by Anna Karina Hoffman, aged 23, a dressmaker, against her conviction and sentence on charges of selling poison without a licence was dismissed by Mr Justice Turner in the Supreme Court at Auckland today. Hoffman was convicted by Mr J. W. Kealy, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court at Auckland, on August 18, 1961, on two of three charges of selling poison in the form of chocolate containing a drug. She was fined £5O on one charge, and on the second she was convicted and discharged.
