LIQUOR IN A SCHOOL
Board Policy Decision ' W.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 21. The Wellington Education Board has agreed to allowthe Muritai School Committee, at Eastbourne, to let the school hall for two local balls and to allow liquor in the hall. The board thus upset its education committee's recommendation that it should not grant permission for the school committee to hire out the hall if liquor was to be consumed.
After agreeing to permit liquor in the hall on these occasions the board decided to investigate future policy with a view to amending one of its by-laws, based on previous licensing laws.
