STOLE NEW CAR
Man Remanded For Sentence f X.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 21. The theft on October 22 last of a oar worth £730 from the Lower Hutt yards of toe Ford Motor Company was admitted by Clive Neill Coker, aged 24. a steward, in the Magistrate’s Court. Sergeant K. Ford said the car was taken after a lock on the yard gate had been forced. It was next seen by the police in a private car park at Wellington on March 12. A watch was kept and Coker was apprehended when he approached the car and opened toe door. On the way tio the police station Coker broke away from his escort and ran off, but was later taken into custody again. He admitted stealing the car and changing the registration plates. Tire vehicle was in “showroom condition.” Mr J. B. Thomson. S.M., remanded Coker in custody for sentence.
