CARPET WOOL FOR U.S.

N.Z. Principal Supplier New Zealand was the principal supplier of carpet wool to the United States in 1961. exporting 52.2 million pounds to America. Argentina was the second largest supplier, exporting 47 6 million pounds to the United States. The amount New Zealand sent to the United States represented one-third of United States carpet wool supplies for 1961, according to a newsletter from the United States Embassy in Wellington.
