NEW STUDENT PRESIDENT
Elections This Week Mr N. B. UUrich will take office as president of the Students’ Association of the University of Canterbury tomorrow evening. He was treasurer last year. Educated at the Christchurch Boys’ High School, where lie was a monitor, captain of cricket, and a member of the first fifteen. Mr UUrich qualified as an accountant at the university and is now completing a bachelor of commerce degree. This week he was admitted to partnership in the Christchurch firm of Burtt, McGillivray, and Mann.
An election was held for the men's vice-presidency, which was won by Mr D. Natusch., who defeated Mr D. Cook by 433 votes to 374. The women's president is Miss Juliet Fulton, who was elected unopposed. Both Mr Natusch and Miss Fulton are science students. Polling will take place today for the executive of the Students’ Association. Results will be known this evening, so that the whole leadership of the student body will be settled in time for the annual meeting tomorrow evening.
