CENTENNIAL POOL
Completion Approved The architects engaged to plan completion of the Centennial Pool were authorised by the City Council last evening to proceed with completion of the working drawings and specifications so that tenders could be called as early as possible. The council made this decision after considering a report by the city engineer (Mr E Somers) setting out discussions held with the architects Alterations to She drawings agreed upon included provision for a first-aid room, two small rooms for instructors and an extension of the ticket office on the ground floor “We have been battling for this for 21 years,” said Cr R. G. Brown, chairman of the baths committee.
