SALVATION ARMY CONGRESS

Most Officers To Attend

All active service Salvation Army officers in New Zealand. except for skeleton staffs needed to maintain social services, will attend the seventy-ninth annual congress in Wellington from March 20 to March 25.

Features of the congress will be the inauguration of the 1962 session of cadets for officer training; music youth and drama festivals; councils and discussions for officers: a private Dominion Soldiers’ Council; and three public meetings In the town hall. Mr K Goodman, a touring American negro organist, will take part in the music festival and citizens rally as a goodwill gesture.
