The choir gave the open.col?cert of the Adelaide Festival of Arts.
Two chartered aircraft and a regular trans-Tasman flight carried the choir to Adelaide last week. They will take part in the festival again in a .5° ncert of massed choirs with the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Sir Malcolm Sargent, and on March 21 in an open-air concert at which they will sing traditional Maori songs. The choir was invited to take part in the festival in January, 1961. By their own efforts they raised £9OOO of the £13,000 for the trip. The Government granted £lOOO and a fee will be paid by the festival organisers for the choir appearance.
