GOVT. SURVEY OF NELSON
Study Industrial Possibilities
(NX. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 18. The Department of Industries and Commerce was conducting an economic survey to examine the industrial possibilities in Nelson, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) announced last week. He said he recently asked the department's Minister (Mr Marshall) to initiate the survey. The investigation and the collection of information are expected to take three or four months. Mr Holyoake said the survey would give a lead to industry on opportunities for development "besides revealing any gaps or weaknesses in the potential of the district.”
