IN-SERVICE TRAINING

Change In Times

Wanted

A recommendation that inservice training courses for teachers be held before the opening of the school year will be considered by the new executive of the Dominion Federation of School Com. mittees’ Associations.

This was decided yesterday at the annual conference of the federation in Christchurch.

Mr J. V. Riach. who spoke to the remit for the Otago association, said that immediately schools reopened, and before they were established at all, teachers went away for in-service training courses. He thought these courses should be held before schools opened.
