£lOO Donation. — A donation of £lOO from Mr and Mrs L. C. Sisson, of Hamner Springs, for furnishing • room in the new Karitane Hospital, was received with thanks by the Christchurch branch of the Plunket Society. Mrs N. M Peryer was elected a member of the Dominion council, and Mrs T. Darby as a co-opted member, both to represent Christchurch. Travel Club.— Mr C. Spring spoke on aspects of television overseas at the monthly morning tea meeting of the Canterbury Travel Club, held yesterday. Vocal items were given by Mr D. Pryke, accompanied by Mrs M. McNair. Mrs D. Carrick welcomed guests, including Mrs J. Washington (Fiji). Mrs J. Craig (Westport), and Miss P. Clarke (Dunedin) The following new members were also welcomed: Mesdames R. Barnes, O Sprosen, N. M. Alpers, A. J. Gainsford, and G. MacDougall The speaker and artists were thanked by Mrs J. Collins.
