Town Clerks’ Officers
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 6. The New Zealand Institute of Town Clerks and Municipal Treasurers, at its closing session today, elected Mir F. J. Gwilliam, Town Clerk of Auckland, as president. Mr Gwdlliam also will take office as president of the Association of Town derku of the British Commonwealth for a year from July 1. Other institute officers elected are as follows: Vice-presidents, Messrs L. A. Best (Invercargill), M. S. Duckworth (Wellington); members, Messrs A. M. P. Hall (Palmerston North), W. E. McCullough (Nefeon). M. J. Strange (Te Kuiti), L. But. tens (Tauranga) and L. J. Wright (Rotorua); treasurer, Mr W. K. Wilby (Palmerston North); auditor, Mr D. F. Glenny (Wanganui); secretary, Mr J. V. Trezise (Oamaru).
Woman Hurt— An Auckland woman, Mrs Louise Manhire, suffered head and chest injuries when the car in which she was travelling and a truck collided at the intersection of Wiggins end Hardwick streets, Sumner, yesterday morning. She was discharged after treatment at the Christchurch Hospital,
