“MALICIOUS” REMARKS
Council May Take Action If enough evidence could be found, the Paparua County Council’s solicitors should be asked to take action against persons making malicious statements about wonk done on the road frontage of Cr. C. W. A. Kyle’s property at YaWhurst, the county chairman (Cr. J. H. Weaver) told the council “Not only would such statements, if proved, cast a reflection on the integrity of toe member concerned,” said Cr. Weaver, "but also on that of the council and its executive staff.
“The work in question was, in fact, necessary as a result of trench sintege after the installation of cables by the Post Office. The restoration and levelling work carried out on the Post Office’s behalf was entirely at its cost. "Any suggestion that Cr. Kyle has used his influence as a member of the council to have work on his frontage carried out to bis advantage at the council's expense is entirely incorrect,” Cr. Weaver said.
