PALMERS ROAD SECTIONS
Few Sold At Auction Thirty housing sections in a new subdivision in the Palmers road extension did not meet a great demand when offered for sale by auction on behalf of the City Council. Six of the sections were sold on the day of the auction. As the area, which has been developed by the council, is suitable for group housing, no difficulty is expected by the council in disposing of the land. The only other land being developed by the council for housing at present is a small area at Sumner, where there are some surplus sections resulting from the closing of the gasworks.
