Gold Ruth At Woodville < NZ. Press Awoctuttoni WELLINGTON, March 6. The owners of Gold Ruth. Messrs R. J. Reilly and R. C. Southee, have been informed that • sample of urine taken from the mare after winning the Woodville Cup on February 24 last has been declared by the analyst to be positive to lignocaine (known also as xyiocain and licocaine). Gold Ruth, which was trained at Trentham by Mr R. S. Wallis, has been scratched from the Thompson Handicap on Saturday.
