ST. HELENS MEETING

Officers Of Hospitals The annual meeting of the national St. Helens Management Committee with district medical officers of health and medical superintendents and matrons of the three St. Helens hospitals will meet at the Christchurch St Helens Hospital on Wednesday.

This will be the first such meeting held in Christchurch. The first annual meeting last year took place in Wellington.

The management committee comprises four senior officers of the Health Department. They are the deputy director-general (administrative), Mr D. A. Hunn, who is chairman, and the directors of nursing (Miss F. J. Cameron), of hospitals (Dr. C. A. Taylor), and of maternal wel. fare (Dr. C. N. D. Taylor). The three hospitals represented are at Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The medical officers of health at the meeting will be those from the districts in which the hospitals are situated. The discussions will begin about 9.30 am and will last most of the day. In the afternoon, the Minister of Health (Mir McKay) will visit the meeting.
