Country Girls’ Clubs
The Christchurch district committee of Country Girls’ Clubs held a meeting in St. Mark’s Church hall, Rakaia, recently. Delegates from the Avon, Ellesmere, Lincoln, Ashburton, Rakaia, Mayfield, Methven, and Waihora clubs attended. Also welcomed by Miss J. Stalker were delegates from the Christchurch district committee of Young Farmers’ Clubs, and Miss ECouston. home science extension officer, Agriculture Department. Ways and means of creating more interest in the district committee were discussed. Recommendations for the committee’s annual meeting included more educational and social activities, including field days, competition days, and combined dances.
