SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS
Hillmorton And Mairehau Elections will be held for boards of governors for Hillmorton and Mairehau High Schools. When the nominations closed. six nominations had been received for the Hillmorton board and 11 for the Mairehau board. Four, of whom at least one must be a woman, are required for each board. It is the first election for board of governors at Hillschools. Previously both schools have been governed by the Christchurch PostPrimary Schools’ Council. Those nominated for the board of governors aat Hillmorton Hieh School are Mesdames H. T. Cahill, and E. N. A. Glennie. Messrs R. G. Garfath, B. B. McKenna. F. W. Ward, and the Rev. W. P. Eggelton. Those nominated for the Mairehau High School board of governors are Mesdames L. R. Hartley and E. A. Watson, and Messrs D. H. Allison, C. P. Bunn, A. A. Cook. N. A. McNabb. H. R. Oliver. H. C. Biggs. R. C. Warren. H Zuckerman and the Rev. L V. Willing. A postal election will be held on March 16 for both boards and will close at 5 p.m. on that day.
