Three teams one each from Japan, the Philippines, and Britain—shared first place in the Chivas Cup golf competition in Singapore after a ’’sudden death” playoff had to be stopped because of darkness. The New Zealand team of M. Busk and R. J. Charles shared fourth place. H. Kobari and T. Katsumata, of Japan, E. Nival and C. Turgot, of the Philippines, and B Hugget and R. Knight, of Britain, tied at an eight-under-par 65 at the completion of the 18 holes.
