Obituary REV. FATHER P. O’MEEGHAN

The Rev. Father Peter O’Meeghan, parish priest of the Church of Our Lady ot Perpetual Succour. St. Albans, died on Tuesday. He was 67.

Father O’Meeghan was educated at Marist Brothers School, Timaru, and at Holy Cross College, Mosgiel. In 1921 he was ordained in St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Dunedin. His first appointment was that of assistant priest at Addington where he stayed until 1925 when he became parish priest at Ahaura on the West Coast.

In 1938 Father O’Meeghan moved to Akaroa. Between 1944 and March. 1956. when he became parish priest at St. Albans, he preached at Methven
