Membership Drive By U.N. Assn.
The Christchurch branch of the United Nations Association is this year to attempt to double its membership in an endeavour to provide at its meetings “the best intellectual fare to be had anywhere in Christchurch " Making this announcement at the branch’s first meeting of the year, Mr H. G. Kilpatrick said that an attempt would be made to bring in larger groups and to this end many of the year’s meetings would take the form of panel discussions
Apart from the panels, much of the year’s programme, he said, would depend on the availability of overseas speakers coming to Christchurch, or of having Colombo Plan students on hand.
