BRUSSELS, February 12. Spain yesterday officially asked for association with thv European Common Market. The Spanish Ambassador in Belgium (Count de Casa Miranda) handed a formal request to the Secre-tary-General of the European Council of Ministers (Mr Christian Calmes). Associate status is not as binding as full membership So far only Greece is a Common Market associated member.
