YONKERS LEAD
N.Z. Visit To Seek Pacers
(N Z P A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, January 22 The president of Yonkers Raceway (Mr M Tananbaum) left New York last evening on his way to Australia and New Zealand to look for promising pacers and trotters. He is due to arrive in Sydney on Monday. Mr Tananbaum said he would go to New Zealand on January 31 to see leading pacers competing at Forbury Park, Dunedin, on February 1 and 3 Later he hoped to see Cardigan Bay race’ 4 in Perth in the Inter-Dominion Championship series, the New York "Mirror" reported.
While in Sydney Mr Tananbaum will receive a special citation from the Lord Mayor in recognition of his efforts to foster AustralianUnited States relations through harness racing, says the “Mirror.’'
