FREIGHT RATES DOWN
Pacific Meat Shipments ! (N.Z Press Assn.—Covyrlght) ' MELBOURNE. January 15 Thr Australian. New Zealand and South Sea Islands Pacific Coast Conference has reduced shipping freight rates on frozen meats, in cartons or cases sent to Hono. lulu and to the United States and Canadian west coast ports A Melbourne spokesman said ttie over-all reduction amounted to 7.85 per cent, for all Australian Slates except Western Australia. Rates on other items of frozen meat have also been adjusted.
Assembly Resumes.—The U.N. General Assembly was to resume work late today on the backlog of its record 96 agenda items.—New York, January 15.
