While playing goal-keeper in a friendly soccer match at Lyttelton between the crews of two Danish vessels, the Argentinean Reefer and the Pretoria, Leonard Bernstein. aged 16. of Copenhagen, second cook of the Pretoria, fell and broke his lower right leg.
