(N-Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 10. An Auckland shop manager chewed a shoplifter for two mite* through city streets before he caught him in an hotel, the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland was told today by the police prosecutor (Sargeant G. A. Dellow). Before the Court was Francis Daniel Sloan, a 43-year-old upholsterer, who pleaded guilty to the theft of three pairs of stockings worth £1 9s 9d. He was gaoled for 14 days by Mr R. M.
