Empire Games
As the host nation Australia has more scope than others for choosing its teams to compete in the British Empire Games at Perth this year. The Australian athletic team for these games will be chosen after official trials are held in Melbourne on October 20 and 21. Athletes will therefore have to make sure of keeping in training during the winter if they wish to win a place in the team, and the Australian entrants should all be at the peak of their form when the games are held. ¥ ¥ ¥
