THIRD CRICKET TEST IN SOUTH AFRICA.—The South African fast-medium bowler, G. B. Lawrence, leaps into the air as he appeals successfully for lbw against the New Zealand opening batsman, G. T. Dowling, on the first day of the third test at Newlands, Cape Town. Dowling was out without scoring. The wicket-keeper, J. H. B. Watte, adds weight to the appeal with an accusing finger. The other New Zealand batsman is S. N. McGregor.
