BELIEF FOR STOCK

30-Year-Old Lucerne

(N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS, January 7. Thirty - year - old lucerne silage will help to relieve the stock-feed situation on Ben Lomond Station, Maraekakaho, 17 miles from Hastings. The property is badly affected by drought. One of four silage pits put down by the former owner, Mr W. A. Bell, now living at Havelock North, was opened up yesterday by the present owner, Mr K. C. Anderson, and was found to be soft, moist and in perfect condition.
