Piping them from the church is Pipe-Major Robert Roy, who served with Brigadier Fergusson during the Second World War and who died last year. Before her marriage, Mrs Fergusson was Miss Laura Margaret Grenfell. She is the youngest daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel A. M. Grenfell and Mrs Grenfell, of London, and a cousin of Lord Cobham.
