Healthy Look At Opening (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, Jan. 4. London stock markets opened the New Year account with a healthy look about them. Prices were firm and activity high. There was a slight falling off towards the end of the week as the set-back in Wall street affected shares with American connexions, but on the whole the market remained fairly stable. There were several good features in industrials, mainly as a result of newspaper recommendations of purchases for the New Year. The bulk of buying was small, but there were also sizeable investment orders being executed.
