(N.Z.P. A. -Reuter—Copyright) COLOMBO, January 2. Offerings totalling 7,833,1381 b met strong and active demand at this week's Colombo tea auction, according to the official report. Dimbula-Dickoya brokens were irregular, but slightly dearer, and brighter liquoring Uva teas were substantially dearer. Medium teas were In strong demand with prices generally about 5 to 10 cents per lb dearer. There was an active demand for low grown teas which advanced about 10 to 20 cents per lb. Highgrown 8.0. P., 275 cents per lb; good medium BOP--212 cents; medium liquoring 8.0. P.. 210 cents; medium liquoring broken Pekoe. 142 cents; medium liquoring Pekoe fannings, 225 cents; medium liquoring orange Pekoe. 188 cents: low medium 8.0. P., 172
cents; low medium Pekoe fannings, 175 cents; low medium orange Pekoe. 178 cents: low medium Pekoe, 188 cents; medium Pekoe. 210 cents; good Pekoe. 258 cents.
