Featured Tennis
No doubt the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association will have used this week's Canterbury championships to streamline the organisation for the national meeting, which will commence at Wilding Park next Saturday. Certainly the paying spectators will expect to see the better matches at the centre courts, where there are seating facilities. On last Tuesday's programme, on court No. 1, there were two successive men's singles matches featuring local players Oily, while visiting stars were relegated to the rear courts.
