SOLAR GRAIN DRYER.—This drawing shows how sun-warmed air circulates down through a heating unit covered with clear plastic in the solar dryer at the left. The air moves under and then up through the grain into the space at the peak of the dryer where it is discharged. The normal dryer at the right has a plywood sheet instead of the solar heat collecting device.
