SOIL MOISTURE
The soil moisture deficit at the Winchmore irrigation research station yesterday morning was more than 200 points and it had been at this level for the previous 11 days. When the deficit reaches more than 200 points considerable loss of pasture production will have already occurred and two irrigations may be needed to restore pasture growth.
