Gerrard Breaks N.Z. Record

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. December 20. D. F. Gerrard, the New Zealand butterfly swimmer, broke his own national record for 110 yards at the Olvmpic Pool tonight. His time was 65 2sec. The previous record was 66sec which he set last season and equalled last Saturday night The validity of his new record. however, was questioned by some officials tonight as Gerrard was swimming against women as well as men It appears likely however, that the record will be recognised.
