TAKAPUNA WINS HOBSON CUP
The scratch boat. L. Nicholls's three-hulled yacht. Trio, was first across the line in the open handicap race for the Hobson Cup sailed by the Mount Pleasant Yacht Club on Saturday. On corrected time Trio, with R. Rusbridge as for’ard hand, was relegated to fifth place A Takapuna sailed by D. C Richardson won on handicap. B. de Thter sailed his Finn yacht well to retain his sacondfinishing position in the corrected results. There were 16 starters in the event which was sailed in a moderate to flukey southwest breeze Results were:— Blackbird (D C. Richardson). 25min, 12:25.10. 1; Finn Sarby (B de Thier). 4mih, 12:26.0, 2: Fin nest erre (D. Turner), 4min. 12:26.35, 3: Solo (J. F. C. Morgans), 6min, 12:27.59. 4.
