CHRISTMAS TABLEAUX

Burwood Girls’ Centre Girls and staff of the Girls’ Training Centre, Burwood, entertained relatives and friends of the institution at Christmas tableaux on Saturday evening and again yesterday afternoon. Collections were taken for the work of C O. The presentation included a set representing the peoples of the Pacific area, during which the choir sang “Joy to the World.” All the colourful costumes worn in the tableaux had been made by the girls, including the white robes with red bows warn by the choir. Christmas carols were sung by the choir.
