Teachers At Greymouth

(From Our Otcn Reporter) GREYMOUTH, Dec. 13. In perfect overhead conditions the touring Teachers’ College team met a West Coast team at the Recreation Ground Greymouth. today. Both teams endeavoured to play bright cricket, but the slow outfield restricted the scoring rate. For the visitors Taylor played a fine innings with a mixture of caution and aggression. Notable in his innings were three fine sixes. The fielding of the home team was exceptionally good. There were some excellent catches and runouts. The Coast team passed the College’s total with steady batting. Most impressive were Hibbs and J. Blair, a brother of the New Zealand representative, Bob Blair. Two swing bowlers. Taylor and Boat, were the most impressive of the teachers’ team. Scores:—Teachers’ College 163 (Taylor 69. Hoskin 28: Mitchell two for 31, Hibbs two for 11, Beban two for 25), West Coast 200 for seven (Hibbs 52, Blair 29, Bunt 27, Thomas 22; Taylor four for 32, Boal two for 58).
