COLOSTOMY CIRCLE

New Help For Sufferers A Colostomy Circle formed recently under the sponsorship of the North Canterbury centre of the Red Cross Society had proved very successful, and of great help to those who had had the operation, the centre’s secretary (Mr A. C. R. Elderton) said yesterday. He sought the help the “The Press” in bringing the existence of the circle to the notice of other sufferers. The circle holds its meetings fairly frequently. Lectures are given by leading doctors, and the members help each other out of their own experience, the aim of the circle being to aid those who have had a colostomy to resume their normal place in the community. The secretary of the circle is Mr A. D, Healy, of 113 Waimea terrace, Beckenham. His telephone number is 37-881.
