Little River recorded a convincing victory over Kaituna when the two leading teams met in the Banks Peninsula cricket sub-association’s competitions on Saturday. Kaituna batted first and made 132. but Little River passed this score with its first two batsmen still at the crease. For the winning team. D. Mason made 100 retired. Another good score was that of D. Masefield, 112 retired, for Le Bons. The consistent C. Mac Kay made another good score (71) for the same team. With a win over Akaroa, Le Bons moves into second place in the competition. The Le Bons off-spinner. P.
