DANCING HOURS EXTENSION

Council Invites Outside Views (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 29 Representatives of the National Council of Churches and toe Wellington Federation of Progressive Associations have been invited to give their views to the Wellington City Council on approval of applications for extension of hours for Saturday night dancing beyond 1 am. on Sundays. Letters sent out by the Town Clerk have asked for replies by December 5 when the health committee of the council, which considers applications for extensions, will meet. The representatives have also been invited to attend the meeting to give the views of their organisations. . F * r PresiKennedy yesterday appointed Mr Chester Bowles as his special representative and adviser on African, Asian and Latin American affairs. Mr Bowles was formerly Under-Secretary of State— Washington, November 28.
