Maori Land Development.— Maori landowners at Ruatahuna, Rotorua, on Saturday accepted a proposal of the Maori Affairs Department to lend about £70,000 for the rehabilitation cf 1300 acres of Maori land, fast reverting to scrub. The land is in a valley in the heart of the Urewera country, about 75 miles from Rotorua.—(P.A.)
