Way side Avenue
Sir, —I collected today in the above street for the Medical Research Council appeal, and was delighted with the appearance of the houses. I had not seen the street before. Men working in their gardens made it look very attractive. Everyone was courteous, and I had a cup of tea in one home, and when I had finished a resident drove me home. The days of chivalry are not past. Thanks from one aged. . . .—Yours, etc., 76. November 25, 1961.
